A Quilt for a King

This quilt was especially made for our cousin's new baby boy, Little Tonka, who shared the same due date as his cousin, Little Cupcake. Babies are such a blessing and we are very happy to be able to Welcome Little Tonka into the family!!! Welcome Baby Boy!!!

He is such a sweet and good baby!!! And so long too! He going to be a football player just like his Daddy, Tonka, and his big Brother, Tonka Jr.

We made this quilt to complement Little Cupcake's Quilt so some of the common themes are that we used the same Blue Jean material to make both quilts and we finished the backs of with silly satin. Blue for Little Tonka and Pink for Little Cupcake.

Sadly, we lost all the pictures we had of our making the quilt together.

In addition to the Texas flare of the Denim, we used, Cute Choochoo Train print, and Bought super soft Puffy White fabric to emulate the smoke coming from the train's smoke stack. It was so much fun making the quilt for Little Tonka!!!

We hope this Keepsake quilt will be a blessing to you Little Tonka and that it will keep you warm this winter!!!

As Promised...Ladybug Ladybug Fly Away...

This is a new item I tried my hand at...Ladybugs!!! Lots and lots of Ladybugs! This skirt was made for the same Oklahoma Angle who received my latest Dancing with Wildflowers Dress ,

It starts with a cute outfit...

I then evaluate the front...

...and the back...and I plan out the placement of my Ladybugs!

And, it turns into...
TEXAS CUTE!

The little details bring out the personal touch...

Just for Fun Look What I Did!!!

I live in the Country...in the middle of no-where Texas and I LOVE IT! Suffice it to say that the country road my husband, (Cowboy,) son, (Buckaroo,) and I live on does not merit the mail truck to drive down our road and personally deliver our mail to our door. Hence, our mail box sits on a pole with a whole bunch of other mail boxes sitting side by side at the beginning of our road. Last week someone knocked down all the poles these mailboxes sat on so it was time for a new box! Since most of our new box was not even going to be visible I was not going to paint anything on the box...but changed my mind at the very last minute and painted these three little bluebonnets on right before walking out the door! Sometimes, the little last minute details are what you will enjoy the most day in and day out!

Wildflower Dress fit for an Angel

Here is the latest project this Daughter of Texas has been working on. A special 'Dancing With Wildflowers Dress' for a Little Oklahoma Angel. This is a Size 4T Dress, Baby Gap brand, it took about 35 hours to hand paint both the front and back of this dress and it sold for $50.00. When Peace Like A River...

Sometimes life brings trials and tests to us all. Whenever God allows such to occur He always comforts my heart with His Spirit, His Word, and great Hymns of the Faith. Here is one of my favorites taken from Philippians 4:7 "The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christi Jesus." :
