A Quilt for a Queen

This quilt was made for our Cousin's new baby girl, Little Cupcake. Though we have sewn dresses, skirts, and blouses before, this was our first quilt! We had so much fun making it. Quilting is an art we are delighted to delve into. And we invite you to come a long for the ride!

~Stripes and frilly Dots~
We picked the material based off of the colors and theme our Cousin picked for her baby's room and we introduced a fare of Texas by adding blue jean to the mix.

Johanna was our technical adviser on this project

(We each designed upwards of 3 patterns apiece before we found one that was perfect!)

It is so much fun to work with one's sisters!

The Finished Product!

Little Cupcake on her quilt...she is such a doll!

For the back of the quilt we picked a very silky soft material...babies love the smooth cool touch of silk.

The little heart down in the corner is something we came up with as a trademark. Every quilt we make will have some kind of special patch over a corner square.

Here you can see how the quilt matches Little Cupcake's room!
